THE COMPANY Hysytech is a private company founded in 2003. Today it is a pioneer company in the field of process engineering.
In particular, Hysytech main activities regard the design and construction of plants for chemical processes or energy production. We offer our clients innovative winning strategies for optimizing the energy balances of industrial processes improving the sustainability of their business.The company was founded by a group of researchers from Politecnico di Torino who wanted to put into practice the new technologies and approaches towards the economical, environmental and social sustainability, that represents the key for putting Italian industry back into the highest levels of competitiveness.
The company has multidisciplinary structure composed of a team of engineers and technicians with different academic and on-the-field backgrounds whose expertise and know-how has been continuously improved over the years either by participating to local, Italian, and European Research projects, or by the consultancy and execution activities performed together with some of the most recognized industrial clients in Italy. Today Hysytech offers a wide range of services including the design and construction of turn-key plants or assisting our clients in the design and implementation of productive processes employing new technologies.
Main Activities - Front End Engineering Design, Basic & Detailed Design of equipment and industrial plants
- Owner Engineering and/or Engineering Leadership services for industrial plants execution projects
- concept development, design, construction and testing of lab-scale Chemical Reactor prototypes (catalytic, physical, etc.)
- reactor prototype scale up from lab scale to pilot scale
- reactor prototype scale up from pilot scale to industrial scale
- Supply Chain Management planning for industrial processes
- research projects coordination and technical support
- Design of Experiments (DoE) within the context of research projects and prototype development
- structural and thermal-fluid-dynamic modeling and analysis, dynamic simulation and multi-level modeling for the design and optimization of catalytic reactors and the chemical processes taking place in it
- custom-made test benches and prototype certification benches
- design and implementation of treatment systems for syngas (e.g. WGS, PrOX, desulfurization, scrubbers, etc.)
- design and implementation of separation and equestration systems for carbon dioxide
- design and construction of fuel processors and reformers, together with the required clean-up systems, for syngas production fed on natural gas, fossil fuels (gasoline, gas oil, methanol) or alternative fuels (biogas, biodiesel, ethanol)
- design and construction of gasification systems, together with the required clean-up systems, for syngas production fed on fossil fuels (coal, polymer compounds) or alternative fuels (biomass)
- design and construction of desulfurization systems for hydrocarbons up to fuel cell application requirements
- supercritical refining (transesterification) vegetable oils for biodiesel production
- design and construction of auxiliary components for energy systems (evaporators, blow-down, post combustors, energy recovery systems, CO and H2S sensors)
- design and assemblage of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) systems for syngas purification
- design and assemblage of integrated fuel cells systems; SOFC, MCFC, DMFC, AFC and PEM fuel cells Balance of Plant (BoP) design and construction
- design and construction of flammable gas blowdown systems (flare, catalytic combustor, etc.)
- design and construction of gas humidification systems, steam generation systems, and high-precision steam supply systems
