Competences
Chemical engineering
Chemical Engineering, and more specifically Process Engineering, is at the basis of Hysytech activities. It is within these Engineering disciplines where all processes related to the transfer, the conversion and the recovery of matter and/or energy are considered as object of study.
Hysytech’s capabilities can be efficiently applied to different fields of industry with quite specific and challenging problems related to Chemical and Process Engineering. The role of chemical engineer is essential in many fields of industry, such as:
- The pharmaceutics
- Food field
- The environment
- The textile
- The transformation of the plastic, steel and agrarian materials
- Paper production
- Petrochemical
The role of Chemical Engineering has changed, and its importance increased, since the days of the industrial revolution. Through the decades, Chemical Engineering has evolved together with the world energy scenario adapting its capabilities to the needs of modern society.
Today, other than the aforementioned areas of business, is engaged also in technology innovation and R&D aimed to the optimization of industrial chemical plants planning. In addition, the continuous increase of global energy demand encourages the research on new and more efficient energy generation and/or conversion systems.
Consequently, and taking into consideration the oil market scenario, there is always an increasing necessity for new technologies and systems that can exploit alternative energy sources. Renewable sources such as solar, wind, and biomass are gaining more and more importance within the competences of a chemical engineer. In this sense, the use of Hydrogen as an energy vector represents one of the main targets for the environmental compatibility of energy production in the near future.
Moreover, Chemical Engineering deals with the main environmental and safety issues, constantly developing safer technologies and reducing their environmental impact, reducing both the pollutant emissions and the risks of accidents in order to adapt new or existing industrial plants to the most severe standards of conformity.
Mechanical engineering and materials engineering Together with Chemical Engineering, Hysytech’s expertise in Mechanical Engineering, and particularly in Construction Science, makes it possible for us to conceive, design and assemble process plants at the leading edge of technology.
By studying the chemical and physical properties of new materials and their possible applications it is possible to improve the performance of existing plants, reduce the construction costs of traditional-technology plants, and develop new technologies with higher working pressure and temperature limits, improving both the resistance to fatigue and the durability of plant components. The application and integration of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science makes it possible to analyze and optimize the mechanical properties of the structures and components of a chemical plant.
Electronic engineering and development of a control software. In order to achieve the completion of a project Hysytech not only designs, assemble and test the hardware but also develops the software required for the process automation and safety procedures. To this end, Hysytech integrates Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications with the rest of its competences.
These two disciplines give Hysytech the possibility to develop and execute the control strategies at the leading edge of technology that better adapt to both the productive process requirements and the customer specifications. This way, we can provide our clients with fully automated “turn-key” plants. Thanks to the custom-made software development and its integration with the instrumentation on the field, it is possible for our clients to monitor and control in real time, even from a remote location, every single parameter of the productive process and therefore the plant performance and efficiency.
Prototype qualifications Hysytech is committed to scientific research and innovation. The main objective of Hysytech’s R&D activities is to design and put into operation pilot plants to prove new concepts and technologies that could be used in industrial plants.
After years of research and experimentation we have developed many innovative ideas and engineering solutions. Today, Hysytech owns 6 PCT patents (5 granted and 1 pending).
