METHAREN - Finalizing the detailed engineering design

On the 9th and 10th of October the Metharen project (EU Horizon Europe) consortium convened in Porto.

The project aims to produce biomethane compliant with the natural gas grid specification by using a biowaste gasification system, a solid oxide electrolyzer and a methanation system.

During the meeting the partners delved into the design of the overall system as it takes shape. In the upcoming period, the consortium will focus on finalizing the detailed engineering design and starting the procurement of all components for the demonstration unit.

HYSYTECH will support the design and development of the process and will execute the construction and installation of the prototype at the ACEA Pinerolese Industriale project partner site.
