Biomethane: Torre Santamaria, Lactalis, Axpo and Nedgia choose HYSYTECH

The Torre Santamaria farm, together with the Lactalis group, Axpo and Nedgia (Naturgy group) are partners in the construction of a plant that will contribute to the injection of nearly 30 GWh per year of biomethane into the distribution network in Lleida, Spain. HYSYTECH has been chosen as the technology supplier for all plant engineering from biogas to feeding into the network.

The production of biogas originates from the manure generated by the cows of the Torre Santamaria farm. The biogas is then converted into biomethane thanks to the technology developed by HYSYTECH and finally fed into the natural gas distribution network.

This operation is expected to result in emissions savings of 6,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
