LICROX TRL5 PEC prototype: engineering is underway

On 17^th e 18^th of March, the partners of LICROX project (EU H2020) have met, in a mixed on line and in presence meeting, to discuss the latest developments of the project.

The LICROX project aims at developing advanced materials in order to perform artificial photosynthesis for converting sunlight, water and carbon dioxide (CO2) into carbon-based molecules containing C1 or C2, capable of storing chemical energy. A complete prototype using a photoelectrochemical cell (PEC) will be fabricated and tested to demonstrate and validate the technology.

HYSYTECH is the leader of the task 5.4 "Validation of the PEC prototype" and it is responsible for the design, engineering, scale-up, manufacturing and validation of the LICROX TRL5 PEC prototype. Currently, the LICROX project is halfway through, and the kick-off of the engineering activities just took place during the meeting.
