REGEN-BY-2 - Energy vectors from Renewable Energy Sources
On the 30 and 31st of March, the fifth general assembly of the partners of the REGEN-BY-2 project (EU H2020) was hosted by our project partner R2M Solution, in Madrid.
Within the REGEN-BY-2 project a multi-generation, all-in-one integrated energy plant foreseen by the project will be built. The plant will be able to convert any type of RES (Renewable Energy Sources) thermal sources, from low to high temperature, in energy vectors (e.g. solar, aerothermal, geothermal, hydrothermal, biomass, landfill gas, sewage treatment plant gas and biogas), to supply simultaneous multiple typologies of end-users with different energy demands.
The progress achieved up until the month 30 of the project was discussed during the meeting. Very promising results obtained with the lab test rigs regarding the compressors and expanders scroll machines were also presented.
HYSYTECH is involved in the development, design, manufacturing and assembly of the final prototype and will also support the University of Pisa during the testing campaign.
