The first agricultural biomethane plant in Spain is signed by HYSYTECH
Last month the prefabrication was completed and this week the installation in Lleida, Catalonia, it's been completed: we are talking about the latest plant born in HYSYTECH in the Biomethane sector.
A year ago, the partnership between the Torre Santamaria farm, the Lactalis group, Axpo e Nedgia (Naturgy group) for the construction of a plant for the injection of nearly 30 GWh per year of biomethane into the distribution network in the city of Lleida was signed. HYSYTECH was chosen by the consortium of companies as the technology supplier for all plant engineering from biogas to feeding into the network.
The production of biogas originates from the manure generated by the cows of the Torre Santamaria farm. The 600 Nm3/h of biogas are then converted into biomethane thanks to the technology developed by HYSYTECH and finally fed into the natural gas distribution network.
This operation is expected to result in emissions savings of 6,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
