VIDEO: "The OCEAN demonstrator: from CO2 to chemicals"
The OCEAN demonstrator has been developed within the scope of the EU-funded project OCEAN (H2020).
It is a prototype electrochemical reactor (TRL6) that operates with a stack of electrochemical cells of about 0,4 m2 at current densities of at least 1,5 kA/m2 to convert 250 g of CO2 into Formate per hour.
HYSYTECH has designed and built the unit with the support of the other partners of the project.
