REGEN-BY-2

REGEN-BY-2, a contribution for energy system integration

The Europe 2020 strategy for energy system integration includes a target of reaching 32% of gross final energy consumption for renewable sources by 2030.

REGEN-BY-2 is a EU H2020 project, launched on September 15th, that will provide a decisive contribution to fulfill this ambitious EU objective.

The project will develop a multi-generation (all-in-one) CHP (Combined Heating and Power), CCP (Combined Cooling and Power) and CCHP (Combined Cooling Heating and Power) device.

REGEN-BY-2 technology is capable to supply simultaneous multiple end-users with different energy demands in terms of required electric, heating and\or cooling powers (i.e. CHP, CCP and CCHP) from small to large scale and temperatures through the conversion of renewable thermal sources from low to high temperature (i.g. solar, aerothermal, geothermal, idrothermal, biomass, landfill gas, sewage treatment plant gas and biogas).

HYSYTECH is involved in the development, design, manufacturing and assembly of the final prototype and will also support UNIPI during the testing campaign.

The partners of the project: Università di Pisa (Italy); Rina Consulting (Italy); Fundacion Cartif (Spain); Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique - CNRS (France); R2M Solution Spain (Spain); Tifeo (Italy); National Technical University of Athens - NTUA (Greece); Université de Liege (Belgium); Asociacion Espanola de Normalizacion (Spain); Exoes (France); Forderverein des Lehrstuhls Stromungsmechanik Erlangen - LSTME (Germany); Dr. Jakob Energy Research (Germany); HYSYTECH.
