AMAZE - Hydrogen transport and storage via green ammonia
On the 6th and 7th of November the kick-off of the AMAZE project took place at the project coordinator (CASALE) location in Lugano (Switzerland).
The AMAZE project aims to develop commercially attractive and safe hydrogen transport and storage technologies via green ammonia, fostering new businesses and economic growth centres. This includes creating new catalysts and designing a pilot plant to validate the technology at TRL 6, elevating existing Haber-Bosch process solutions.
The goal is to develop a flexible, modular technology adaptable to various market demands, enhancing the flexibility and resilience of ammonia applications across diverse EU applications.
HYSYTECH leads the design, scale-up, and manufacturing of the pilot plant, encompassing the synthesis of green NH3 and its cracking. Special emphasis will be placed on the safety analysis of the system, incorporating a safe-by-design approach.
