HYSTRAM - Pilot plant design starts

HYSTRAM - Pilot plant design starts

On the 22nd and 23rd of May the Hystram consortium (EU H2020 project) met at the Technische Universitat of Berlin (TUb) for the 24M general assembly. Interesting results for the contemporaneous synthesis and adsorption of ammonia at lab scale were presented.

These results will be validated during the last year of the project, starting now, in the pilot plant that's being designed and will be constructed by HYSYTECH with the support of Casale.

The experimental campaign in ANW will start next year. It will generate data to asses the overall technology through Life cycle analysis (environmental, economic and social impact) and process modelling tools being developed by TUb.

HYSTRAM aims at the Ammonia production at TRL5 through an intensified and optimized Haber-Bosch process. This will be a very interesting and cost-effective technology for Hstorage and NH3 production for its use within the chemical industry.

HYSYTECH's role focus on reactor development and process integration, as well as the construction and installation of the final prototype.
